James XVI is The Definitive James of Orbis. He has lead the nation of Berrean in eight alliance for over five years.
History[]
James XVI had been the leader associated with Berrean for nearly half a decade before his existence in Orbis. Following his coronation in this world he spent his first two weeks partying, doing very little of any sort of use, before applying for membership of the Dutch East India Company. He spent his first eight months there, growing at a rate of approximately 1 city per month, whilst languishing in the spam sections of the DEIC Forums. Being the first community he was a member of, he developed an affinity with the alliance up until the conclusion of NPO's Last Time.
Roz Wei[]
James had been on brief speaking terms with both Rozalia and Mayor both on Politics and War and other sites, and when he was approached by both in regards to the formation of a new alliance he jumped at the chance. He was appointed as a Heavenly King early on in the alliance's formation and assisted in various roles, learning on the job, before focusing his help in the military command department.
Following Roz Wei's first major war, James XVI was given the title General who Brings Tranquillity to the State in Rozalia's Legend of Rozalia.
After Roz Wei[]
James had intended for a few months to experiment in alliance creation of his own, and in September 2016 resigned as a Heavenly King and formed The Saints - an alliance based off The Third Street Saints of the Saints Row series of games with Penguin and Luviel (both former Roz Wei members). Penguin was appointed Underboss of The Saints and remained as second in command for the duration of the alliance's existence. The alliance lasted just two months due to personal time constraints and was merged into Lordaeron, another alliance formed of former Roz Wei members.
James' time spend in Lordaeron was as a higher government member, primarily advising the leader Kastor. He left the alliance around half a year later following the conclusion of NPO's First Time to join Penguin in the formation of The Advocates - a politically neutral alliance that had aimed to mediate political disputes and provide justice in the form of military action when required.
The Advocates disbanded in July 2017, and made up a significant base (particularly in government positions) of the newly formed Assassin Order under leadership of Kastor. James worked as a Master Assassin (or Master Ass) and contributed to the war department. He was also responsible for the creation of the majority of alliance adverts via Low Effort Productions, ripping off already existing adverts and adding an Assassin Order theme, or creating original adverts playing off the shortening of 'Assassin' to 'Ass'.
Retirement[]
In late 2017 whilst being a government member of Assassin Order, James ghosted to fight for Roz Wei in the Silent War, and resigned from the government on his somewhat reluctant return to AO. Despite his resignation we was still kept involved in the alliance's government in an advisory role until the alliance disbanded and was absorbed into The Golden Horde. He had fully intended to spend his now proper retirement from alliance government in TGH, and fought with the alliance in Ayyslamic Crusade, however, shortly after Rozalia's ban from Politics and War, he was invited by Roz Wei's new leader Akak to rejoin Roz Wei to assist in re-growing the alliance.
Return to Roz Wei[]
James' return to Roz Wei was as joint leader along with Akak. Over the following month they gently began to steer the alliance towards opening up for recruitment again (at the time there were fewer than 20 member remaining compared to its peak of over 70 in 2016). This primarily involved recruitment messages in-game and the creation of new in-game adverts, however issues soon became apparent. Adverts depicting the image of the wrestler Damien Sandow were barred from publication on the account that the image used was similar to that used by (now banned) Rozalia. Partially as a result of this, James and Akak negotiated a merger of their protectorate, Sassania, into Roz Wei. Sassania consisted of long term allies, friends and former Roz Wei members and their experience and numbers significantly strengthened the alliance. The alliance renamed and re-branded to Empyrea as per terms agreed to during the merger. Akak stepped down as leader, and was succeeded by Sassania's leader The Royalist (also known as Filip).
Empyrea and The Wei[]
The strengthened government and alliance under this new joint leadership achieved the alliance's return to the Top 15 leaderboard for a brief period, and saw a rejuvenation in activity and membership.The alliance became a paper ally to The Golden Horde and Knights Templar in an independent bloc that later became known as KETOG. James, along with many of his alliance-mates fought for 271 consecutive days from mid 2019 to early 2020 in both Surf's Up and NPO's Last Time (NPOLT), the latter dealing a hard blow to the alliance's activity and membership, however in the months following the conclusion of NPOLT, the Empyrea was rebuilt, and later re-branded to The Wei, which, on the 14th August 2020 - it's 5 birthday since the founding of Roz Wei, The Wei re-declared it's independence and re-adopted it's paperless stance of old.

It has been alleged that James has been involved in a homoerotic relationship with The Wei's co-leader Filip/The Royalist. This has neither been refuted nor confirmed.
James has been a self-described Kastor Cultist since 2017.
James has spent all but four months in the same alliances as Penguin since 2016.
James is unmarried and Kastor refuses to be his Sun Goddess.
