Resource improvements produce raw materials that are further used in manufacturing and running a nation. Not all nations will be able to produce all the raw resources below, though every nation can build farms. All resources have a percentage bonus production increase based on how many are built. When the count is built to the limit, it provides a 50% bonus production increase. Building to the limit and specializing is usually the recommended strategy by many alliances. Resources tend to be a better focus for newer nations.

- Continent: Any. NB! Antarctica suffers 50% loss in food production.
- Note: Younger nations that do not have a large amount of land in any one city would benefit more in using slots for other improvements and importing food instead.
